Studies have shown that sleeping well really affects the efficiency of all bodily functions. Although there will be many amongst you who think that sleeping only five hours a night is sufficient, the statistics show that we all need to sleep for at least a certain amount of hours to live a healthy life.
Although there is no magic number for this, most people do well with 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. We need this to function properly and for internal organs to work at maximum efficiency. However, studies show that when you have too much sleep it works just like having too little sleep. When this happens, we have a higher risk of putting on weight, contracting illnesses and also early death.
It is also not a good idea to be sleep deprived throughout the working week and try to recharge your body with oversleeping during the weekends. Our bodies just don’t work that way. Studies have shown that people who skimped on sleep for several weeks in this manner get progressively worse up in attention tests despite the fact that they have had regular 10 hour-long sleep-ins.

With many of the physical conditions and symptoms of pregnancy present, and a strong belief she is actually pregnant, a woman of childbearing age may experience the strange phenomenon of pseudocyesis, more commonly called pseudo-pregnancy.
Several signs of being pregnant are present with a pseudo-pregnancy, and the most prevalent are sore breasts, lack of a period, nausea and vomiting, and stomach expansion.
While a missed period can be the first indication of pregnancy, it can also lead to false conclusions when a woman does not regularly track her cycle. In pseudocyesis, a lack of menstrual cycle can be attributed to the emotional and psychological stress of wanting to be pregnant or the fear of being pregnant.

More and more people who want to look their best at all times are asking their dentists about whitening or bleaching their teeth. After all, when you have a bright smile, you’re showing the world that you are youthful and charming. And a dazzling white smile can open a number of doors.
In fact, many movie and television celebrities pay surprising amounts of money to keep their teeth white. Nothing can be a bigger turn off than a mouth full of yellow, stained teeth.
You may remember how white your teeth were when you were a child. Unfortunately, as we grow older, the amount of minerals in our teeth begins to change and we lose that beautiful white appearance. The everyday items that come into contact with your teeth can also cause discoloration. Tobacco, for example, is a major cause of color change, as is pigmentation from bacteria.

When you were small, you must have dreamed of yourself performing on stage with a mic and before a crowd. And watching the singers on tv while they performed, never did you comprehend the effort they went through just to deliver a performance on stage. Little did you realize that they utilized a method referred to as diaphragm singing so that they could sing better.
Very good vocals requires following certain breathing techniques that make the vocal chords more powerful. Correct breath control is vital when reaching the high notes or doing a fast song. Otherwise, it will leave you breathless and gasping for air. Even skilled singers do that, if not, they’d never reach the high notes needed by the song.
Yet how can you sing from the diaphragm? With your mouth closed, breathe in through your nose and feel the air as it envelops your lungs, lower stomach, and breath support muscles. Then gradually, release air whilst voicing. Take note that you don’t need too much air when singing. With the proper breathing in technique, a single inhalation of breath may last you for one or two lines of the song.

The interest in do it yourself crafts work is back. No wonder that the interest in Greek pottery has also been revived. For many years, ancient Greek vases were left in museum backrooms because only professionals knew their value. For the layman, they meant nothing.
For the common man, these vases were just symbols of Greek history. However, now people have begun acknowledging the artistic and decorative aspects of this ancient art form. The modern man has only just acknowledged what the ancient Greeks knew all along.
The modern man has always considered plain and functional art as the best. However, this is indeed dull and plain. Therefore, it is wise to turn to ancient arts.

“When am I actually in labor?”, Is one of the most common questions women ask. This is often hard to tell and needs to be diagnosed on a case to case basis. Everybody goes through labor in their own way and some women have more obvious signs than others.
Most of the time, when a woman goes into labor her belly changes in shape and this is one of the earliest signs. This happens when the baby moves down into the pelvic area in its preparation for labor. When this happens you will notice that bleeding gets a little bit easier than normal because of the reduced pressure placed on your diaphragm.
Some women mistake a “wee” incident with going into labor, because of the discharge of fluid. However, the difference between discharge fluid and urine is that it does not smell and most of the time the fluid has a pinkish tinge of blood in it, though sometimes it can also be clear.
