Freshly cut flowers will make your living space look very nice. And a matching flower vase can further enhance its beauty.

Any florist will tell you that the right thing to do is choose the ideal vase that complements or contrasts your flower arrangements as well as the furniture in your room. It should not be too colorful or decorative, and this will ensure that the style of the vase will not clash with the flowers.

It is important to pay attention to the height of the flower arrangement and. If the flowers are tall with long stems and long petals, then the appropriate vase should also be tall. One should keep in mind that when the flowers are placed in the vase, the height of the flowers should be around one-half or two-thirds taller than the original height of the flowers.

Make sure that the color of the vase is isn’t too vibrant or saturated. Light colors such as white, cream, or pale pastel will go well with the flowers while patterns are also fine as long as they complement each other.

Crystal vases with bold patterns and brightly tinted ceramic and glass vases or exquisite cut-glass vases are not ideal for flowers.

The shape of vase will also depend on the flowers being used. There are four types of shapes of flower vases. The traditional flower vases have wide mouths. Profusion of blooms that fill the mouth of the vase is ideal for such vases. Long-stemmed tulips and roses should ideally be placed in cylindrical vases. If you want to place cut flowers in water, then the flatter type of vases are perfect. Bottle vases have a narrow mouth, thus delicate and graceful flowers such as cherry blossoms are perfect when used in combination with these vase styles.

If you don’t want to worry about matching your floral arrangements with the right vase, then you can keep a range of flower vases in your home. Department stores sell nice looking vases that are not too expensive either. However, you can also go in for the more expensive ones too.

Make sure that you always keep your cut flower vases clean. They are breeding grounds for bacteria and harm your flowers and also you.

Centerpiece tall vases make the perfect decorative piece on a dinner room table, so would a fabulous black vase.
